Eftsure is always looking out for your security and trying to stay one step ahead of the fraudsters out there. One of the steps that we recommend is for our users to activate two-factor authentication to log onto the eftsure portal.
Two-factor authentication is now required by default for administrator users. It is recommended for other eftsure users to activate their two-factor authentication by contacting their organisation administrator.
What is Two-Factor Authentication?
2FA is a security method that requires the use of two layers to verify a users identity. This means that rather than simply entering only the password to log into an account, two-factor authentication will require a code to be generated through an app to be entered as well. This additional verification code will help to ensure that only the authorised user can access their account.
What are Authenticator Apps?
These are apps that can be installed on your smartphone to obtain a passcode to sign into your account.
Some of the options include: Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
How to set up 2FA on your eftsure account?
Once your two-factor authentication is activated, the next time you log onto eftsure you will be required to link your profile to an authenticator mobile app.
Step 1 - Go to the eftsure login page -https://portal.eftsure.co.za and enter your credentials
Step 2 - You will be taken to a page asking you to setup second factor authentication with a QR code
Step 3 - Open your authenticator app and link account by facing the phones camera to the QR code. Enter the OTP code from this app on each login attempt thereafter
